Tim Flagg

With over 18 years experience working in major corporations (McCann-Erickson, BBC Worldwide, Comcast, Hutchison-Whampoa)
and in smaller start-ups, I have planned and implemented advertising campaigns to launch brands and products around the world.

My background is in above-the-line marketing, but more recently I have worked extensively with digital and social media. I have delivered results on a shoe-string, producing a number of guerilla/PR stunts and digital campaigns as well as negotiating barter deals. I know that speed and return-on-investment are critical for small, growing businesses and I deliver cost-effective yet impactful advertising solutions.

Developing Established Brands

McCann Erickson Advertising:
I worked on TV, Film and Radio Commercials and Print Advertising on Bird’s Eye-Walls, Reckitt-Benckiser, Pfizer and Bacardi.

BBC Worldwide: I had the privilege to work with Sir David Attenborough and the Natural History Unit in Bristol in my role as Brand Manager for natural history in the Global Marketing and Brand Development team.

Comcast: I launched E! Entertainment Television across the EMEA region working closely with broadcast partners such as Sky, Virgin Media, Canalsat, Multichoice, Showtime and managing relationships with BAFTA and OK! Magazine.

TSL Education: As digital marketing director, I was responsible for acquiring and retaining subscribers for tes.co.uk, the largest network of teachers (2m) in the world.

Launching New Brands

Hutchison-Whampoa: As head of advertising for INQ Mobile (Android mobile handset) I planned and implemented advertising campaigns to launch the INQ brand in India, Canada, UK and Australia.

Mindshapes: I was marketing director at this publisher and developer of educational mobile apps, responsible for brand development and subscriber acquisition in the UK and US.
